Maura D. Gallagher, 90, of Toms River, NJ passed away on January 2, 2013 at the Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in County Clare Ireland, she moved to the United States in 1927 and lived in Brooklyn, NY until moving to Toms River 29 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Toms River.
Maura was predeceased by her son-in-law John Yurko, her sister Bridget Kennedy and her brother Joseph Kennedy. She is survived by her husband of 66 years James F. Gallagher; her daughter Maura D. Yurko of Bayonne and her grandson James A. Yurko of Bayonne.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday January 6th from 1 to 5 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 7th at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Toms River at 10:00 AM. Cremation will be private.
