Joseph Esposito, 57, of Toms River, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Born in Neptune, he grew up in Pt. Pleasant and was a resident of Toms River for 22 years. Along with his wife Susan, Joseph proudly owned and operated Esposito Auto Transport for 23 years. He was well respected in the transport business and worked very hard to start his business from scratch and build it into the success it is today. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River. Joseph enjoyed golfing; boating, traveling, the beach and sharing stories (fish tales). Spending time with his family and friends is what he enjoyed the most and he will be sadly missed by all.
He was predeceased by his father Louis Esposito, step-father Richard Cooley and his brother Frank Esposito. Surviving are his beloved wife of 28 years Susan (Ventola) Esposito; two cherished daughters Nicole and Alyssa; his mother Dolores Cooley; his sisters and brother, Linda Gencarelli and her husband Jerry, Rita Reynolds, Louis Esposito and his wife Laureen, Theresa Pataky and her husband Paul and Mary Hoak and her husband Larry; his brothers in law, Richard and Louis Ventola; and many caring nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, September 7 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Cremation will be private.
