Joseph De Yorgi

It was a beautiful day as he arose with Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. At the age of 47 he left behind a legacy of Love, laughter and a deep appreciation for music and family. Though his time here has ended his spirit dances on.

He is survived by his devoted mother Margherita and his beloved sister Donna Marie as well as his cherished nieces and nephews who knew him not just as “Uncle Joey” but as a gentle joyful soul who always had time for them. His family was the center of his world.

He also had a way of lighting up a room with his quick smile and his fancy dance moves. He was a lifelong fan of the “KING”. Music moved him.

A celebration of his life gathering will be held on Thursday April 24, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday April 25, 2025 at 9:45 am at St. Joseph RC Church in Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in Bronx, NY.
