John D. Anderson

John D. Anderson aka: Dukie 63, of Toms River, NJ passed away on July 31, 2021 at Complete Care at Holiday City. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Parsippany and Lake Hiawatha before moving to Florida in 2008. John recently moved back to New Jersey in 2020. For several years, he worked in the trucking business. John touched so many people with his kindness, big heart and gift of laughter and jokes. An avid sports fan, John loved the N.Y. Giants, New York Yankees and loved watching basketball. He also loved spending time with his cherished family and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother Evelyn A. Anderson, sister Harriett O’Neill Robertson and his best friend Brian Mount. John is survived by his sisters Deborah Anderson, Elma Beckler, Carol Graham and many nieces and nephews. John is also survived by his step children, Sherri Scardelli and Mickey Colando.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a service at 3:30 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Cremation will be private. The family is requesting for anyone who has not been vaccinated to please wear a mask while visiting the family at the funeral home.
