She was attended to by her devoted children who survive her. They are Dina Bishop and her husband, Robert, of Toms River, Guy Licciardo of Jersey City, and Alison D’Auria and her husband Joseph, also of Toms River. She is predeceased by her husband, Paul Einhorn, and her parents, Joseph and Anna Brudny of Passaic, NJ.
An affectionate and proud mother, grandmother, and friend, Joanne's vitality, tenacity, and love of independence touched the lives of many. She is also survived by her dear grandchildren, Zachary Bishop, Brandon Bishop, Lucis McGovern, Gage Licciardo, Jacob Darling, and Chloe D’Auria.
Joanne was born in 1945 in Passaic, New Jersey. She studied education at Seton Hall University, and became a teacher of elementary school as well as preschool. Throughout her life, children were an inspiration. Joanne also had a passion for photography, ceramics, and spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoyed living in the Crestwood 3 community of Whiting, and being a member of St John’s Catholic Church of Lakehurst and then embracing a closer parish at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Whiting.
Joanne’s devotion and zest for life will be eternally cherished by her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, July 23 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, 685 Hooper Ave, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
