Hugh Murphy Jr.

Hugh Murphy, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 3, 2020 on his 91st birthday. Beloved husband of Margo Murphy. Devoted father to Kathleen Licinski and Daniel Murphy, and son-in law Stanley Licinski. Dear brother of Robert Murphy. Loving grandfather to James Murphy, Jennifer Friscia, and Brian Licinski. Hugh also had four great-grandchildren that he loved; Justin, Matthew, and Christian Friscia, and Benjamin Licinski.

Hugh served in the Armed Forces as a 1st Lieutenant.

He also worked as a Chemical Engineer for Bristol-Myer Squibb for more than thirty years and served as a Past Master, Chaplain, and Grand Chaplain for various Masonic Lodges throughout New Jersey.

Hugh loved lighthouses and travelled to many across the United States. He most recently served as Secretary to the New Jersey Lighthouse Society.

He always had a joke to tell and loved his family and dear friends. He will be missed by everyone that he knew and loved.

Due to COVID-19, visitation and Funeral Services will be private at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River, NJ. A Memorial and Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
