Gerald "Jerry" Mack

March 13, 1942 – March 23, 2025

Gerald "Jerry" Mack, 83, of Toms River, NJ, formerly of Bayonne, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025. Born on March 13, 1942, in Bayonne, Jerry spent most of his life in his beloved hometown before moving to Toms River, where he enjoyed the past two decades.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Celia Mack, his loving wife, Patricia, and his brothers, Tony, Michael, and Stanley. Though he did not have children of his own, Jerry was a devoted godfather and uncle to Kellyann Dechert and a proud great-uncle and godfather to Anthony Mack and Matthew Tyrell. He was cherished by generations of nieces and nephews, all of whom he held close to his heart.

For the past ten years, Jerry shared his life with Frances Sommers, his devoted partner, whom he loved and adored. Together, they created beautiful memories filled with laughter, companionship, and love.

Jerry had a passion for cooking, and his kitchen was always filled with the aromas of his delicious meals, bringing family and friends together around the table. He found joy in spending time at the beach, soaking in the sun and the salty air, embracing the peacefulness of the shore. Above all, Jerry valued his family and friends, always offering warmth, kindness, and a welcoming spirit to those around him.

Jerry’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration.

A memorial service will be held to honor Jerry’s life on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 12 pm to 2 pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 1329 Rt. 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to a charity of choice.
