Gary Hancock

Gary Hancock, age 64, passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2024 at his home in Pine Beach New Jersey. Gary was born on February 22nd, 1960 in Neptune to his parents Robert and Dorothy. He grew up close by in Toms River, and enjoyed surfcasting and fishing with friends and family. In 2008, Gary married the love of his life, Jennifer, in a beautiful ceremony in Spring Lake. Together, they created a loving home.

Gary was a licensed and dedicated plumber with over 40 years of service to his community. He was known by many as a friend and for his unwavering work ethic and kindness. Gary was a lifelong Mets fan and spent countless days watching his favorite team play. Of all his titles, the one he was most proud of was his role as Pop, and was a loving and dedicated grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer, children Jacqueline and James, and grandsons Seth and Rocky. He is also survived by his mother Dorothy and siblings Robert (Wife Pat), Linda (Husband John), Patricia (Husband Rich), and Jimmy (Wife Kandi), Sister-in-law Liz, and is predeceased by his father Robert and brother Ronald.

His presence, warmth, love, and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A funeral service to honor the life of Gary will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 2-5 PM at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home at 703 Main Street, Toms River New Jersey.
