Dorothy E. Roncin

Dorothy Emily Roncin, age 87, of Toms River, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 and now walks hand in hand with the love of her life Ray. Born on April 20, 1935 to Emily and Howard Schmidt in Jersey City, NJ. After graduating Dickinson High School, she worked in Harborside Warehouse in data Processing. She and husband Ray were friends through the school years and married in 1956 while Ray was in the Navy. They moved to Toms River in 1959 with their three month old Daughter Rene’, Raymond Jr. was born a year later. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1953. She worked for the Toms River Schools for 18 years and resigned to stay home with their first grandchild Ryan Nani. In 1998 she and Ray moved to Silver Ridge Park West Retirement Village. Pre-deceased by her husband Raymond in December 0f 2015 she is survived by her Daughter Rene’ Nani and her husband Bob of Lanoka Harbor; Son Dr. Raymond Roncin and his wife Linda of Toms River; four grandchildren Ryan and Rachel Nani and Taylor and Kayla Roncin; and one Great Grandaughter Scarlett Zinkoski. Services will be private under the direction of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Toms River Animal Shelter.
