Christa was born in Fort Monmouth, NJ, and graduated from Manchester High School where she excelled as a track star, earning numerous medals and awards. She proudly served in the Army for 10 years, where she had the opportunity to travel and earned accolades such as the Army Commendation Medal. Following her military service, Christa embarked on a distinguished 30-year career with JCP&L, contributing significantly to various departments, including the DCC, and played a pivotal role in the development of new programs, eventually achieving a management position. Her family takes immense pride in her many accomplishments.
Christa was a woman of strength and resilience, known for her unwavering authenticity which endeared her to all who knew her. She had a passion for shopping, indulging in everything from shoes and clothes to collectibles. Her greatest joy, however, was spoiling her children and grandchildren with gifts that reflected her boundless love. Christa cherished her family deeply and found joy in life's simple pleasures, embracing the beauty of nature as a free spirit.
She is survived by her loving children, Jazzmon and DeVonta; her adored grandchildren, Issac, Kylee, and Jace; her sister Bessie; and her brothers Frankie and Harold. Christa was predeceased by her son Michael, her mother Herta, her father Hampton, and her brothers Roger and Tony.
Christa's vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, but her light will continue to shine brightly in their hearts forever.
