Annette M. Banks

Born in Neptune, New Jersey to the late Harold and Doris Banks, Annette lived in Neptune, NJ, and Boston, MA growing up before residing in South Toms River, NJ.

Annette had many nicknames but was known as Nanny to her close friends and family. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Annette loved card games and could not resist a good game of spades. She enjoyed watching lifetime movies and soap operas. In her younger years, Annette loved running track and was well-known for her speed. Prior to retiring, Annette worked at Crystal Lake Healthcare Center in Bayville, NJ as a nurse’s aide where she devoted herself to her patients for over 20 years.

She is predeceased by her older sister Donna M. Banks, Stepfather Thomas Galloway, and godmother Alvia Crippen.

She is survived by her three loving children Kevin Banks, Twanna Banks (Torey McClellan), and Latashia Landry (Michael Landry); Grandchildren Michael Landry Jr., Orion Landry, and Madison McClellan. Three brothers, Harold Banks, Thomas Banks(Sondia Banks), Vance Banks; four sisters, Toni Banks, Cassandra Banks (Anthony Bagwell), Vannetta Banks-Hardy (Eugene Hardy), Thomia Thomas; Two uncles, Richard Banks(Carol), and Harold Johnson and Aunt Gloria Smith. God siblings, Michelle Gardner, Monica Cunningham, Melissa Crippen, Junior Crippen, and their families. Nieces and Nephews, Thomas Banks Jr, Daylece Newsome, Trinnica Clark, Jovani Banks, Keyana Preacher, Cameron Turner, Harold Banks, Xavier Banks, Thomia Banks, Milton Banks, Marlo Banks, Miles Banks, Thomekia Banks, Matthew Banks, Marquise Harris, Marsean Banks, Mariah Fantasia, Zurionna Bennett, Darius Banks, Cheyanne Banks, Shaniyah Banks-Hardy, Demetri Davis, and Tanisha Banks. As well as a host of great nieces and nephews,cousins, and friends. In particular the Banks, Moore, Donaldson, Warford, Johnson, Pierce, Brown, and Hester families.

A memorial service for Annette will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
