Sara-Ellen Akers, 73, passed away on December 8, 2021; loving sister of Gerard Clark Fink and his wife Susan Fink, and Timothy Lee Fink and his wife Sandra Fink; beloved aunt of Jennifer Miller, Christine Mills and her husband Joseph Mills, Joshua Fink and his wife Annalisa Fink, David Fink and his fiancée Meghan Davis, Nathan Fink and his wife Maggie Fink, and Daniel Fink; also survived by 9 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents John Gerard Fink and Mary Elizabeth (Fountain) Fink.
Sara loved her family and was a faithful supporter of multiple charities including St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Bibles International, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, and All Souls Church. She worked at the Social Security Administration as an IT Specialist Manager for almost 45 years and retired on December 31, 2011. She was very skilled at cross stitching, hospitality, and keeping in contact with friends and family through cards and phone calls. She will be remembered for her love of family, generosity, and organizational skills.
A memorial service will be celebrated at the Oak Crest Retirement Community, 8800 Walther Blvd., Parkville, MD 21234 on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2pm. Following the service, the family will receive friends. Interment Private.
