TOMPKINS, Mary Dexter, (Binky) passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2022 at age 95. Binky was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond S. Tompkins (Tommy). She is survived by her sons: John C. Tompkins (Sara) of Hunt Valley, MD, Dexter Tompkins (Scotty) of Myersville, MD, and Chip Tompkins, (Betsy) of Richmond, VA., as well as 7 nieces, 4 nephews, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Binky enjoyed a sturdy sense of integrity, an intuitive understanding of others, and a sly sense of humor. She was unfailingly gracious whether correcting grammar or surprising you with her athleticism. She exemplified her stated belief that…..”Every day is a gift, that’s why we call it the present”
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, 11856 Mays Chapel Road, Timonium, Maryland. A private burial service will follow.
