Kevin was born May 7, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph Feury and Margaret “Peg” (Goode) Feury. He was a proud graduate of Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, NJ. After high school, Kevin attended The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, receiving a B.S. in History. During his time at Holy Cross, Kevin enrolled in the Air Force ROTC program, ultimately achieving the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Unsure of his future, Kevin decided to pursue a legal career and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Albany in 1966.
He married Valerie F. Bennett in August of 1966.
Along with Val, Kevin was an active parishioner at St. Joseph's Church in Cockeysville, MD. Together they co-chaired the Our Daily Bread ministry for nearly 25 years, tirelessly coordinating the monthly collection and delivery of food to those less fortunate.
Kevin was an active athlete for the better part of his life. As a youth, he was a fierce competitor on the basketball court, proudly and fondly recalling his days representing the “Ironmen” of Don Bosco Prep. Later in his life he spent several years studying Judo. Years later, tennis became his true passion. He could be found on the tennis courts nearly every weekend well into his 70’s.
World travel was his other great passion, and he took several trips around the world every year. He traversed the ruins of Machu Picchu and strolled down the Great Wall of China. He walked with lions in Africa and gazed upon the Great Pyramids of Egypt. He ziplined in the forests of Panama and prayed in the “Holy City” of Jerusalem. Far and wide, Kevin made it his life’s purpose to explore the world.
He was preceded in death by his wife Valerie F. Feury; survived by his daughters Patricia Feury and her husband Paul Agnew and Karen Grier and her husband Vernon; son Brendan Feury and his wife Erin; sister Maureen Crocco; grandchildren Owen and Reagan Feury; nieces Jill Friendlander, and Coleen Balkie.
The family will receive friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 7 to 9pm. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Kevin’s memory to Our Daily Bread, 320 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
