Charles Grover Replogle, 83, passed away at his home in Baltimore on September 10, 2022; Loving husband of Nancy (Rodeffer) Replogle for 51 years; beloved father of Kristy and her husband Dennis, Scott and his wife Tiffany; son of the late Daniel and Vadis Replogle, brother of the late Ronald Replogle; brother of Daniel Replogle (Joan), Robert Replogle (Carol), Richard Replogle (Bonnie), Jane Cato Loughlin, Mary Ann Hudecki, Marsha Helton (Darryl), Linda Miller (Jim), and Carole Replogle (wife of Ronald); loving grandfather to Chelsea Elliott, Samantha Elliott and Eden Dorta and adored by many nieces and nephews.
A native of Altoona, PA, Charles was a proud graduate of Penn State University, where he received his bachelor of science in dairy science. He also received his masters in science from Ohio State University. Charles had a fulfilling career as an agent for the Penn State and Ohio State extension programs working in Warren and Preble Counties in Ohio and Indiana and Allegheny Counties in Pennsylvania. His work with the 4-H program won him numerous awards including the Distinguished Service Award in 1981.
In addition to his achievements, Charles built many long lasting relationships through his work which carried with him. Charles had a lifelong passion for sports including rooting for the Penn State Nittany Lions and the various activities his granddaughters were involved in. He was their biggest fan.
A memorial service will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 600 Warren Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030 on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be directed in Charles’ memory to Allegheny County 4-H Program or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
