Charles E. Harris

He was the beloved husband of the late Paulette Z. Harris; beloved father of Charles Collins (Rosalie), and Jennifer Concepcion; loving step-father of Sherri Salaam, Turonn Lewis and the late Bary Lewis and the late Damon Lewis; cherished grandfather of Charles, Jordan, Justin, Davon, Elijah, Charlese, Carter, Aleah; Step-Grandfather of Felicia, Cierra, Ikea, Tavon and Chanlea; dear brother of Thomas G. Harris (Gloria), Reginald T. Harris (Beatrice), Lindsay D. Harris (Miranda), the late Karen R. Beale and the late Wendy C. Harris; brother-in-law of Harry Ford and his wife, and Andre Ford (Bonnie), Fay Person and Yasmin Mello; devoted friend of Bernice Washington; also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

Charles E. Harris was born on May 15, 1945, in Monkton, Maryland. He attended Hereford High School where he ran track and cross country, then later attended Syracuse College. He was in the Air Force and was an Air Force controller.

Charles enjoyed watching television, movies and horse racing. He went to Penn relays. His favorite music were the temptations and O.J.’s. He enjoyed being with family and friends. His favorite person that he looked up to was “Uncle Bud”.

Charles will be missed.

The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at which time Charles’ life will be celebrated at 11:00 am.

A committal service will be held at the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117 on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 10:45 am.
