Aunt Connie was always a joy to be around! Her compassion and caring was always evident in all of her interactions with others.   I’ll never forget how she would treat me like her own son every time we got to see each other, which wasn’t often enough.  She will be missed by all!

Connie was my only sister, my only sibling.   Being nearly four years older than I was, Connie had to tolerate me as a tagalong which she did without complaint.  Our mother dressed us in matching clothes long after Connie thought it was cool - if she ever did -and didn’t complain.  Connie was a kind and loving soul.  We had some tension growing up as Connie went to a private school and I attended the public school but that ended when we both went to Talawanda High School  - Connie as a senior and I a freshman.  We grew closer and that closeness solidified as we matured.  Connie was gregarious, fun-loving, artistically talented, compassionate and loving.  Her love for her husband, Gus and son, Chris was boundless, eternal and true-blue.  I’ve always regretted that we both left Ohio for opposite sides  of the country.  While we’ve shared wonderful memories over the years,  I wish there had been more.  I love my sister and miss her every day.  I look forward to reuniting with her someday in heaven and hope that she’s become friends with Elvis already 🤗.


My sister in law, Connie, was always bright, colorful, creative, vibrant, had a beautiful smile and was a fantastic wife to my brother, Gus and a wonderful mother to her son, Chris.  I know there was something she found to love in everyone one of us. The day she married into our family was a blessing. I was ecstatic to have Connie as a sister. Our closeness was God given and I am forever grateful. I miss her everyday. 
May her memory be eternal.


Connie was such a wonderful person to be around. I can’t even begin to think of all the times she extended her warm hospitality towards me as I spent countless days playing with Chris at the Angelas’s household.  

Besides the normal day-to-day activities there were wonderful holidays where I’d escape to join the Angelas family.  So many Christmas days and 4th of July weekends were spent  with my host family. Connie always so open, warm and inviting toward my presence.  

Connie had an infectious smile and laugh, and always made me feel welcome. Her level of love toward Gus and Chris seemed immeasurable and I believe that was because she felt that level of love reciprocated. Connie will be missed but I know she is remember by the large swathe of people who’s lives she touched, who appreciate what a wonderful wife, mother and woman she was.

     I'd like to thank every one who has shared pictures and memories of my Mother. The outpouring of love and affection is really moving and it means the world to my Dad and I. I'm sure Mom would love it too.
     There are so many wonderful moments and memories I shared with Mom. It would take hours to recount all of them here and I feel it is best to summarize them as every one gave me the same feeling of having a wonderful person for a Mother. She was so kind, caring, loving, supportive and a very happy, lovely person to be around. Everyone loved her, and for good reason, as she had a personality that radiated love, tolerance, acceptance and just overall happiness and joy. She instilled all of these qualities in me and I am so fortunate to have had such a wonderful soul teaching me life, love and the ways of the world. She saw things in such a positive light. I only wish I could be half as positive as she was all the time. The world was a much better place where ever she was. That was usually at the side of my Dad, who will aggrege with me when I say we were the two luckiest people to have her in our lives as Mother and wife. It made me so happy to see them together for all of the years that they shared as I could truly tell they loved each other. It came through in how they raised me and the qualities they instilled in me. I am just so lucky to have been her son and I will always cherish all of the time we spent together. I really did love her so much and can't really begin to express how much of a loss it truly is. I miss her already but am lucky to still have my Dad and wonderful family and friends to lean on. Thank you so much again to everyone who loved her as I know she loved you back. She was the best and will always be remembered that way. I love you, Mom, and know you will find as much peace and happiness in the next life as you did (and gave to all) in this one.

Dear Gus and Chris,
Although time and distance have separated many of us over the years from the close relationships that we had established in our earlier years, we have always found comfort in the fact that, although distant, the support was always there in spite of the fact that sometimes life get in the way.

I always loved my dear sweet Aunt Connie! I have the best memories of visiting you both in Oregon  a few years after my accident, and you took me to see Multnomah Falls, the Oregon coast, Mount Hood, and I had the best time ever, remember we even extended it! Remember visiting  Foti’s, and the gyros were supposed to be eaten with the fingers, (but the fingers were to be eaten separately! :-). Chris made video tapes with that giant video camera. And Aunt Connie turned me onto artist Mary Engelbreit, who I get her calendar every year to this day, and Elvis, who I have now watched all of his movies. 
My mom and I got to visit you in Irvine when you lived there, and you came to visit with us when we were in San Diego . I always appreciated the fun times we got to share with you.
Remember when you came to Ohio, and we got to see the Woody Hayes building with all the Ohio State trophies, and we got to go onto the inside practice field and took pictures on it? That was awesome.

I always loved spending time with you,  Aunt Connie and Chris.  You were a great couple and I’m so glad God put you together. She will be greatly missed!
