Peggy L. Stephens "Ma"

Peggy was born April 30, 1931 in Colby, Kansas to Earnest and Rosalie (Shepard) Houston. On May 30, 1948 she was united in marriage to Gordon K. Stephens. From this union, they were blessed with two daughters, Rhonda and Jenny.

"Ma" as everyone knew her was an amazing woman that stood as the matriarch for our family. She was a homemaker almost her entire life. Her family was very important, including her two great grandsons Cameron and Cohen.

She left this world a person who touched many lives and who will be deeply missed and remembered for her generosity, kindness, and love of her family.

Surviving family include her daughters, Rhonda and Jenny of Hays, KS; three grandchildren, Mark Samuelson (Shawna) of Wellington, Colorado; Randy Samuelson (DeVola) of Longmont, Colorado; Brandon Reeves of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Shirley Hruska (Pat), Pinedale, Wyoming; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Cohen Samuelson; and her beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon; brother, Dean O. Houston, and her parents.

Celebration of Peggy Stephens Life will be held at 11:00am Friday, August 19, 2016 at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 North Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.

Visitation will be from 9:30am to 11:00am before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, family request Memorial donations to be made to Hays Hospice, 2501 Oak Park Building 2 Suite 6, Hays, KS 67601.
