Linda Jewell, aged 70, wife of Norman Jewell of almost 40 years and together 45. Linda was the daughter of John E Sheneman and Dorothy I St-Peter. She was born in Cheboygan, MI and married Norman Jewell August 21, 1982 in Topinabee, MI.
She was the mother of Brenda (Matthew) Ozog and Ashley (Greg) Jewell soon to be Gerrard. She was the grandmother of Courtney, Tiffany and Anthony Ozog and Godmother of Michael St-Peter. She was a host-grandma to exchange student Ania Milczarek and Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathleen A Sheneman and brother John R Sheneman. She is survived by her brothers Brian T Sheneman, Dr Joseph Sheneman, and Dr James Sheneman.
Linda was a retired bus driver for Wayne-Westland Community Schools in Michigan. She was a graduate of Inland Lakes High School and also attended Northern Michigan University. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and National Society Descendants of Early American Farmers.
Linda always cherished time with her family and having good conversations, especially those with a good laugh! She was a devoted Catholic and really enjoyed attending her church in Florida. She never hesitated to helping others, near or far. Baking cakes, fishing with her husband, painting and crocheting were some of her favorite pastimes. She made numerous blankets as well as her eldest daughter’s wedding cake!
The family will be celebrating her life at a later date. Condolences can be sent to her husband Norman Jewell.
