Lee Ann McCoy

Lee Ann McCoy, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away on November 20th, 2022 in her home. She was born on September 29th, 1966 in Putnam, Connecticut to Leander and June (Allen) Brissette.

Lee Ann grew up in Putnam and later moved to Colorado in 1983. She attended Thornton High school where she met and married her high school sweetheart Rick McCoy in 1989. They built a life together in Broomfield, Colorado where they had two Children, Tyler and Leigha. She worked as an X-Ray technician and became the first college graduate in her family after earning a Bachelor's Degree in the Health Sciences in 1998.

Lee Ann was close with her sister Lu Ann, they were two peas in a pod. Lee Ann loved having new hair styles done by Lu Ann. They loved going dancing and shopping together. They spent hours together planning parties and gifts, never missing a family birthday or holiday. They were often found raiding each other's closets for outfits and shoes to borrow.

Lee Ann excelled at being a homemaker raising her two children and taking care of any child who came through her door. The only thing fuller than Lee Ann's heart was her fridge and cupboards which were always stocked and organized with everyone's favorite foods. She had a passion for decorating, her house was always up to date with the latest styles and was always decorated for the holidays. She made her children feel special through acts of kindness such as writing happy birthday on their bathroom mirror in her lipstick and asking how their day was every day after school.

Lee Ann is survived by her children Leigha and Tyler as well as her sister Lu Ann (Brissette) Strong, her parents Leander and June (Allen) Brissette and her nephews Riley, Landon and Gage Strong.

A visitation for Lee Ann will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233. A Reception Gathering will take place immediately following services at the church parish hall.
