He retired from RTD after many years of faithful service to the community.
John is survived by his wife, Sofia; daughters Valerie Chavez and Vicki Martinez; sons Anthony and John, Jr; sisters Shirley Martinez and Marylou Montoya; brothers Rudy and Dan Martinez; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Please join the family for a visitation on Tuesday from 4-7pm followed by a recitation of the Rosary, 7pm, at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 N Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. A Funeral Mass is being held Wednesday. 9am, at St. Cajetan Catholic Church, 299 S. Raleigh, Denver, Colorado. Burial will follow at Olinger Highland Cemetery.
