Lois Jean Diehl of Thornton, Colorado passed away peacefully in her home on April 15, 2018. She was a loving wife to Harry E. Diehl. Mother of Robert Allen Diehl, Thomas Earl Diehl, Brian Lee Diehl and David Gene Diehl. She is survived by sons Robert and Brian and many other relatives and friends. She was the daughter of Hazel Maud (Lowe) Force and Albert Clark Force. She was born in Catawissa, Pennsylvania on May 1st, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry and sons David and Thomas, and by her eleven siblings, Leatha Force, Irene C. (Bush) Force, Clayton Force, Emma (Breech) Force, Thelma Blanch (Watherill) Force, Elva (Ernest) Force, Gertrude (Breech) Force, Donald Force, Lillian (Harter) Force, Ralph D. Force, and Harold Force.
Her love for life and people were shared by all who knew here. She worked many jobs through the years: seamstress, caring for the elderly and less fortunate, and factory worker. She volunteered all her life for many different organizations, from her church to youth groups and food lines in Adams County. She loved road trips and was always ready to go anywhere! Family, friends and her faith were a large part of her life. She was a great gardened who always had beautiful flowers and lawn. Cooking was a great part of her life. She loved cooking for family, friends and her church. Jean was a huge sports fan. Broncos, Rockies, High School and Youth Leagues in the past.
She will always be remembered for her caring heart, loving smile, and gentle touch. To say she will be missed by many who knew here is a huge understatement.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jean’s memory be made to Mountain View Lutheran Church, 1481 Russell Way, Thornton, Colorado 80229. A viewing will be held on Wednesday 4/25 at 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the church. A memorial service will be held on Thursday 4/26 at 11:00 a.m.
