died peacefully at the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Residence,
2 O’Connor Drive on August 23, 2018,
in the 74th year of her religious life.
Sister Helena was the daughter of Lemuel Kenny and Catherine Landrigan
of Morell, Prince Edward Island.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Reg (Margaret)
and her sister Cecilia (Francis).
She will be sadly missed by her brother Eugene and his wife Anne, her nieces, nephew, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and her Sisters in community.
As a proud East Coaster, Helena was known for the twinkle in her eye, her smile, the love of her beloved Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox,
as well as her generous willingness to serve.
Sister Helena entered the Sisters of St Joseph of Toronto on
February 11, 1944. Her ministry was mainly in housekeeping and administration, where she lived well the call of the gospel
“Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.” (John 21: 16-17)
In recent years, Sister Helena lived at the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Residence, where her ministry was one of prayer for the needs of the world.
Visitation will take place at the Sisters of St. Joseph Residence,
2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto ON
on Monday, August 27, 2018, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
with a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial
will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
