In loving memory of Sandra Elizabeth Armstrong (née O’Neil). Sandra was born in Toronto on September 11th, 1943 and passed away suddenly on January 7th, 2021 in North York General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband, Earle Armstrong. Loving mother to Kevin Armstrong [Shannon Farley], Christopher Armstrong [Hsi Chi Lu] and Darlene Gill [Corey]. Cherished grandmother to Morgan Armstrong, Oliver Armstrong, and Jaime, Brandon & Noah Gill.
Sandra was born and lived her entire life in Toronto. After taking time off to raise her 3 children, Sandra revived her banking career, retiring only 12 years ago. Not one to sit around, Sandra then devoted her time to her grandchildren, her church and travelling with Earle.
Sandra was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, always welcoming people into her home. “The more, the merrier” were words she truly lived by as holiday gatherings filled her home to bursting. She has left us far too soon and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Due to COVID restrictions, we are not able to celebrate her life as we should, but a memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
