Husband to Bobbie (nee Whitton), each other's True Love for 49 years. Loving and supportive Father of Dawn (Dan O'Dwyer) and Steven (deceased)(Lara). Cherished Bampa of Colin, Erin, Grayden, Lochlan and Knox.
Born and raised in Toronto, Ross was the only child of Frederick and Olivena Creber. He attended Malvern Collegiate and graduated from Ryerson with a degree in Marketing. In 1977 he began his 38 year career in the direct selling industry with his wife Bobbie, running a Tupperware distributorship in Calgary and was later promoted to VP Marketing for Tupperware Canada. Ross worked for several companies within the industry, but found his passion in association management with the Direct Sellers Association. He served two different terms as its' President and in between, worked internationally with the World Federation of Direct Sellers. Ross was the recipient of the Ivan P. Phelan Award, the most distinguished honour in direct selling, and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for his commitment to the industry.
A devout Anglican, Ross attended and supported parishes in several major Canadian cities as well as London and Boston.
Ross led a full life with much more living still to do. An avid golfer, Ross was a member at Thornhill Golf & Country Club, a barbeque guru and bartender extraordinaire. He was a mentor and friend to many and will be dearly missed.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 6:30- 9p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (140 Brooke Street). Private Family Internment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anglican Church of Canada or the Sleeping Children Around the World.
