Survived by his loving and dearly loved wife Donna Marie Walker (Hambly), daughter Jane Elizabeth Gillespie Walker, and son Stan G. Walker. Veteran of World War II, Canadian Army, 1941-45. Graduate of Dalhousie Law School (class of 1948). Practised law for 16 months in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Retired partner of McCarthy & McCarthy, Toronto (now McCarthy Tetrault LLP), and counsel for one year to McCarthy Tetrault. After retirement in 1991 was a volunteer reader for many years with VoicePrint and with the CNIB talking books recording studio, and a former director and secretary of the Speech Foundation of Ontario. Was a firm believer in God, although acutely aware of his own deficiencies - try as he might to improve.
Friends may call on Wednesday, 3 September 2014 from 7-9pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 4 September 2014 at 11am at the R.S. Kane Chapel.
