Died peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre on April 11, 2014 with her husband Bill, holding her hand. Also attended by her loving caregiver Laarni Arcelon. Pauline was in her 86th year. Bill and Pauline were in their 58th year of marriage. Mother of Brien (Sabina), Mary-Frances Turner (Roddy), Anne-Marie Greene and Rosalyn Straw (Bradley). Grandmother of Corrie, Susie, Janvier, Daks, Jack and Sam. Great-grandmother of Cody, Liam, Jayden, Victor and Makenna. Pauline, Bill and family enjoyed their cottage in Lake Chemung and met friends during their times in Peterborough, Toronto and Sudbury. While in Sudbury, Pauline obtained her Bachelors Degree and Teacher's Certificate. She was a dedicated teacher at Marymount College, Sudbury and Francis Libermann in Scarborough. She was a friend to many young people, and had a fiercely optimistic perspective on their potential. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and dedicated to supporting their education. Bill and family wish to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook Emergency and Cardiac Care as well as the Family Practice Unit. Pauline, you were deeply loved by your family and many others, and will be just as deeply missed. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Parish (670 Sheppard Avenue East). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Health Science - Cardiac Care Unit and Family Practice Unit.
