Marjorie Jeanette Chatwell

June 21, 1922 - June 10, 2016

Peacefully in the early hours of the morning at the Tony Stacey Centre for Veterans Care. Marjorie, WWII Veteran with the Red Cross, widow of John (Hap) Chatwell, POW in Hong Kong, WWII. Mother of Dorothy Felix (the late James, 2012) and Bill Chatwell (the late Patricia, 2008). Devoted Nana to Amanda Sturgeon (Chris), Brandon Chatwell (Joy) and David Chatwell (Chelsea). Special Nannie to James Sturgeon and Makaila and Karaline Chatwell. Past Matron of Fidelity Chapter No. 33 Order of the Eastern Star and Newmarket Chapter No. 282. She was a devoted member for 49 years. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Tuesday, June 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with Star Service at 8 p.m. and Legion Service to follow. Funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday, June 15th at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Ridge Cemetery, Ajax.
