Passed away peacefully in the arms of his loved ones at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, fittingly on Remembrance Day, given he was a war veteran and prisoner of war. He was in his 92nd year. He will be enormously missed by his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Vincenza. Loving father of Carmela (Joe), Vince (Anna) and Fabio (Camilla). Cherished Nonno to his grandchildren Jordan, Anthony, Michael, Vanessa, Conor, Orla and Ciara. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all his many relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received at R.S. KANE FUNERAL HOME (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 1-5 & 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor R. C. Church (75 Churchill Avenue). Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Mario's memory to The Heart Function Clinic at North York General Hospital.
