Marguerite Taylor

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Sunrise of Aurora at the age of 91. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Norman Kenneth Taylor. Loving mother of Elizabeth Bartlett (Wayne), Glenn (Barb), and Cathy. Proud grandma of Erin Nguyen (Bob), Cathy Wilson (Lorne), Amorena and Alana, and great-grandma of Signy, Audrey and Tucker. Survived by her brother Robert Cockfield. Marguerite dedicated a lifetime to volunteer work, including 33 years on the Executive Board of the United Church Women (UCW) for Newtonbrook United Church (now known as Cummer Avenue United Church). Graduate of Western Tech and former employee of Dominion Glass. The Taylor family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sunrise of Aurora for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 18, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Service will be held on Thursday March 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
