Dick, Helen (nee Jefferson). After a full, rich and rewarding life, Helen passed away in Richmond Hill, Ontario on August 7, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife of Rendall for sixty three years, loving mother to Elizabeth Wells (Jay), Ian Dick (Janette Baumen) and devoted Nana to Christina Jopling (Scott), Lisa Jones (Simon) and Evan Dick. Helen leaves behind adored great grandchildren Bryson, Charlotte, Tristan and Lachlan. Dear sister to Gwen Phillips and sister in law, Carol Anne Jefferson. Predeceased by her brother George Jefferson, brother in law James Phillips and sister in law Betty Dick She is remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews and their children.
Helen was raised in Owen Sound until moving to Toronto to attend the Wellesley School of Nursing (Class of 1949). She worked as a public health nurse until she turned her attention to raising a family. She still found time to help others through the IODE, including serving as National President. She was an active member of Forest Grove United Church and a recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal.
Her loves included family, numerous lifelong friendships, close neighbours, summers at Big Bay cottage and dachshunds.

Visitation will take place on Monday August 15 from 6 til 8 pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge St., Thornhill, ON. Funeral Service will be Tuesday August 16 at 11:00 am at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Chapter of Canada IODE or Hill House Hospice.
