Lucio Mainella

Passed peacefully with his loving family by his side on September 24, 2018 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Isgro). Cherished father to five daughters Linda Crombie, Gloria Maloney (Rob), Diane Downey (Glenn), LouAnn Giesa (Paul) and Rosanne Reda (Gerry). Eternally full of love for his grandchildren Stephanie, Robyn, Daniel, Deanna, Chris, Laura, Marisa, Matthew, Rita-Marie and Franca and his great-grandchildren Cole, Mabel, Bennett, Bowen, Bronson, Blake, Brianna, Arianna and Anne-Marie. Survived by his sister Alice Ricci and his brother Anthony. He will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends. Special gratitude to Dr. Myron, Janet and team at The Heart Function Clinic, Kerrie and the 6th Floor nurses at North York General Hospital. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Wednesday, September 26 from 7-9pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, September 27 at 11am, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. He never looked for praises

He was never one to boast

He took pride in always caring

for the ones he loved the most

His dreams were seldom spoken

His wants were very few

Although he had his share of worries

It was a side few ever knew

His bragging rights got stronger

as his family grew in size

The pride he felt within him

shone brightly in his eyes

With words not always spoken

we knew it to be true

His love for us was constant

by the things he’d say and do

Remembering him will be easy

We will do it every day

Missing him will be a heartache

That will never go away
