Lisa Marie Gilbert

Lisa was born in Montreal, Quebec, and spent many happy memories in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.

Lisa is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Bennett, sons Mathieu Gilbert-Ducommun and Jesse Gilbert-Ducommun and parents Ellery (Bud) and Judy Gilbert. She is also survived by brother, Robert (Robbie) Gilbert and sister-in-law Tina Jacklin and family. Lisa was predeceased by former partner Eric Ducommun, Mathieu and Jesse’s father.

Lisa loved spending time with and helping her family and friends and always looked forward to the July 1st Canada Day celebrations in Bury, Quebec, building and entering floats in the parade for many years. Lisa enjoyed a glass a wine with best friend, Nathalie and spending time with her lifelong best friend, Cindy, and dancing with her husband, Jim. Mathieu and Jesse were the centre of Lisa’s attention and love.

Our sincere appreciation to the nurses, personal care givers and hospital staff and all of the support systems in place to assist Lisa to remain at home while receiving excellent care.

Lisa’s cremation will be overseen by Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes of Thornhill, Ontario. A service will be held in Brookbury, Quebec at the Grace United Cemetery, on Route 255 on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 2:00PM. Following the service anyone is welcome to gather at the Cultural Centre in Bury.
