It is with great sorrow, we announce that Kiki passed away peacefully on Christmas morning, at her home after a valiant battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving children and dedicated caregivers, Annie and Lyla. Kiki immigrated to Canada in 1961 with her daughter Douly, and her beloved husband Athanasios who predeceased her in November 1991. She will be missed by her brother Nick Makos, sisters-in-law Roula, Sophia and Effie and is predeceased by her brothers Ullyses and Peter. She was renowned for her love, generosity, excellent culinary delights, and of course dancing on tables at weddings! She lived life to the fullest with great joie de vivre! She shared her time between her homes in Greece and Canada, and travelled extensively with her best friends Eva and Tony Vamvakas, to such places as Machu Picchu, the South Pole, most of Europe and parts of the USA. She will be sadly missed by her children Christos Nianiaris, Dr. Nicholas Nianiaris and his wife Hayley, and Douly and her husband David Donne, and her grandchildren Nicole (England), Alex, and Andreas Donne, and Nastasia, Christian and Tatiana Nianiaris. She had a good life surrounded by many friends and family both here and in Europe. Friends may call on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S.
