Born in Sopron, Hungary in 1932, Eugene passed away in Toronto on January 8, 2014. He arrived in Canada in 1956 and spent over 30 years as a Professor of Surveying Engineering at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
Survived by his beloved wife Sylvia (née Buday); son Eugene (Monique) and grandchildren Thomas and Clara; sisters Clara Radvanyi (Tibor) and Mary Field (Richard); sister-in-law Ida Noe; nephews Dr. Laszlo Radvanyi (Natalia), Francis Field (Marianne), Brian Noe and niece Diane Czarnik (Bob); and Theodor Radvanyi (Pat) and J. Leslie Tausz. Predeceased by his parents Eugene and Elizabeth (née Kovács), brother-in-law John Noe and niece Susan Tausz.
Friends may call on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary R. C. Church (432 Sheppard Ave E), followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
