Dorothy Ivy Fisher

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Thursday October 27, 2016 at the age of 90. Beloved wife and best friend of the late George. Loving mother of Kathy

( Michael), Ted ( Janet) and Tom. Cherished Grandma/Gee Gee of Michelle (Jay), Melanie (Ewan), Mark (Kate), Jason and Kinley and Great Grandmother of Ava, Grace, Hugh, Hailey, Holly and Tessa. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother Reg Hill, her sister Barb Kemp and is survived by her sister Joyce Banton.

Dorothy met the love of her life George in Honey Harbour and they married in 1949. They moved to the boonies ( Thornhill) in the 50’s and she spent 60 years being part of the Thornhill community. She was a member of the congregation of Holy Trinity Anglican Church and Thornhill Lionettes. She was a medical secretary for 25 years, an avid bridge player, loved her camera and knitting and was always ready to help a neighbour or friend. Fortunate to have many lifelong friends, her social calendar was always full.

She will be missed but never forgotten.

Friends are invited to visit at Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Tuesday, November 1 from 6 – 9 pm. Funeral service will be at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 140 Brooke Street, Thornhill on Wednesday November 2

at 11:30am with reception to follow.
