Son of Frederick Joseph and Olive Mary.

At sunrise Sunday September 16th, Don left us peacefully for the Maple Leaf Gardens of the sky. He cherished 48 years of marriage to the love of his life, Betty. 70+ years of rink time with Jack Sheedy, Joe, Gerry, June, Corinne, Dr.Bob, Dr.Don, Don Park + all the Old Timers. Brother of Fred, Uncle of Doug. Beloved father, mentor, hero of Patrick and Maricon Power, Ann-Marie Power, Denise and Benjamin deBray. Proud Papa of Lauren and Jake Power, Abigail and Aidan deBray. A most wonderful man whose humble spirit, love and smile touched every soul in a room. Don Power lived his 88yrs to the fullest with a few key priorities: Family before everything, laugh + dream big, love bigger, play hockey, eat apple pie, and, never ever give up.

The family would like to thank North York General Hospital, Dr. Bruce Topp and Dr. Bob Brock for their tremendous care.

The visitation will be held 6-9pm Thursday September 20th at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. Funeral Service will be held 10am Friday September 21st at St. Gabriel’s Parish, 670 Sheppard Ave E.
