MR Roulston you may have only taught me science throughout my high school days but the way you pushed me to be better than I was helped turn me to the man I am today. You were everything a student could ask for. Rest peacefully beautiful soul.

Was just doing a search for David, whom I only knew through our youth in high school. I spent many pleasant times with him - we played on a baseball team together in Don Mills, and hung out with friends from Rippleton area... The memories are dim, but apparently TSK. heh heh. Comic books, he had a big collection. He was a bit rough around the edges, but I counted him as a friend. I;m sorry for your loss.

I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Roulston’s passing. As a former student of his, he was always one of my favourite teachers and coaches in hockey and football at ECI. A great man and mentor. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. Wishing you the best.

Fay, I was so very sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. I hope you take some time for yourself and know that lots of people are thinking about you and your family during this difficult time.

David’s and our childhoods were filled with shared experiences as most of our family vacations were together as two families. We travelled to the east coast and the west coast, we climbed the highest mountains and swam in the coldest water. David wouldn’t have it any other way. We survived camping in the rain for days on end. We watched the mighty Manitou light the Pow Wow fire, we explored the world at Expo 67, and we saw Eddy Shack score a goal. We learned about Batman and the Flash, and Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. 

I think that I can saw with honesty that throughout our childhood nobody was ever happier to see us than David.  I suppose we were a constant in a life of change, moving from Windsor to Oakville, then Ottawa to Toronto. He exuded enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. Rules were nothing more than an inconvenience.  

Our childhood memoires and adventures will always include David playing a lead roll. Through our shared experiences and his joie de vivre our lives were enriched.

We were so very sorry to hear about Dave's sudden passing. We have many fond family memories of time spent together years ago. Paul, Shirley, Bill and Lila were the best of friends, and we shared so many family vacations and good times together, as Dave was growing up. We offer our sincere condolences in this time of loss.

Mr.Roulston was one of my favourite highschool teachers and had one of the kindest coolest personalities I knew. Having him for 2 years during highschool, he taught me so much about life and always gave the best advice. My condolences to all of his family and friends. Mr.Roulston was loved by many people at ECI and will always be remembered. 

Mr. Roulston, an amazing person who taught me a lot through my high school years. His personality created an atmosphere that all students were happy to be a part of; a teacher, a coach and most importantly a person that will never be forgotten for his kindness and helpful hand.

Hello Fay and Jake, I was shocked and saddened to read about Dave this morning. We were colleagues for many years at Etobicoke C.I. I remember him as a contributing member of the Health and Physical Education Department. I remember his competitiveness and passion for his teams. Many students benefited from experiences on his teams. My youngest son played on the junior football team for Dave while at the school. His sometimes gruff exterior often hide a gentle and caring person. He would often do tasks like organize all the class baseball equipment, clean up the football gear without being asked and with little fan fare.I appreciated how he helped the department throughout the years.
Fay you may remember coming to our home for dinner years ago with the Phys Ed Department. He was very proud of your career accomplishments and Jake you were the one topic which always animated him. He loved being a Dad and loved being your Dad! Please accept my sincere sympathy.

Suzanne and I are deeply saddened to hear that Dave has passed away. We wish you both our most sincere sympathy. 
Dave and I became good friends years ago as we shared a love of both Muskoka and golf. Our happiest times were when we could combine both; we enjoyed going to the golf show each winter and purchasing a few advance rounds for Taboo and Muskoka Bay amongst others. We couldn’t wait for the snow to melt, knowing that soon we would be trash talking each other while playing golf in a beautiful setting and a place we both loved. Later we and other friends would form the Royal Pheasant Golf Society of which Dave was a proud founding member.
I will miss my friend “Rolly” very much but I will always have many happy memories of our times together both on and off the course. 

Dear Faye, our deepest condolences with the shocking untimely passing of your husband and partner in life. We don't really know you very well personally, but Brandon and Christine have expressed, on several occasions, the fun they had while visiting with you and Dave. It was great to see you at their wedding and it immediately became obvious to us that Dave brightened up a room and had a zest for life. Thinking of you.

I am shocked and sorry to hear about Dave. So sorry, my condolences to the family and close friends he is leaving behind.
