Connie Vince

She is survived by her children Diana Evangelista, Stephanie Adamason (Josh), her grandchildren Nolan, Luke, Charlotte, Cole and her brother Tommy Schmidt (Shelda). Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Gertrude Schmidt.

To know Connie, was to truly know Connie! She had an incredible zest for life. It didn’t matter how you crossed paths, by the time you said good-bye you knew her life story and walked away with a smile. Connie dedicated 40 plus years working for York University, her ability to deal with numbers kept her sharp and passionate about the work she did. Connie was never one to sit still and spent many nights and weekends moonlighting her home business Connie’s Confections! However, her most proud role was being an Oma, she lit up talking about her grandchildren especially her granddaughter.

Connie was a beautiful disaster in the kitchen, but everything that came out left you wanting just one more bite! She could never take a compliment, was incredibly humble and gave herself to everyone including strangers, never expecting anything in return. Connie found a love for playing SKAT and was a dedicated member of the Hansahouse SKAT Club. She had a passion for Bingo, and a love for slots! Her retirement was chock full of adventures with her best friend Susie. These two were never far from one another, reminiscent of a real Thelma & Louise friendship.

This truly has been the hardest of goodbye’s. As per Connie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Connie loved animals, she believed every animal deserved the best life, a donation to any local animal shelter would surely make her smile!
