Captain Sean Preston Coles

Sean passed away with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry. He is survived by his wife Elaine of 20 years, his children Matthew (Samantha), Megan (Wesley) and Liam.

He is also survived by his loving parents Brian and Betty Jane Coles, his father in law John Pollock (Ingrid), his sister Amanda Leeming (Craig), his sister in law Alison Whittaker (Russell), his nieces Rebecca (Allan) and Chelsea, his nephews Cameron, Farren (Callan), Cullen and Joshua, his aunt Mary Lynn Goodden and uncle Glenn Coles (Susan).

He has rejoined in eternal life with his mother in law Margaret Pollock, his Aunt Penny Boland, Nannie (Ida Florence Goodden), and Grandmother Alison Coles and Grandfathers Leonard Goodden and Robert Coles and his dog Mac.

He will be forever remembered as a true hero, a dedicated firefighter, a loving husband, devoted father and friend to all who knew him. He will be forever missed by all.

The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who cared for Sean throughout his cancer journey, a special thank you to Oak Ridges Hospice, Shannon his PSW, the many nurses who took such wonderful care of him and Elaine and his family in his last hours.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider a donation in Sean’s memory to Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, Ontario.

A visitation for Sean will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:00am - 12:00pm and 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill).

A funeral service for Sean will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00am at Bayview Glen Church (300 Steeles Ave E, Thornhill, ON). Following the funeral service, there will be a reception at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill,ON)
