Vann William Gordon

Vann William Gordon, age 80, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Vann was born in Davidson County, May 6, 1944, a son of the late Everett and Ida Mae Albright Gordon. He was a master carver for 35 years with Conner Carving and then was a truck driver for 15 years. Vann enjoyed being with his friends and going dancing.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Hughes, Lois Hughes, Ruth Hunt, Colon Gordon, Wayne Gordon and Tony Gordon; and a son-in-law, Richard Moore.

Surviving are four daughters, Vandala Moore, Crystal Wright and her husband Roger, April Grooms, and Samantha Vaughn; two sons, Charles Gordon and his wife Sandi, and Darrin Gordon; 14 grandchildren, Misty, Jennifer, Brandon, Ryan, Twinkle, Brandy, Jamie, Dustin, Trent, Carri, Carleigh, Leiya, Michael and Parker; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Larry and Martha.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
