Robert Henry Melton

Robert Henry "Bob" Melton, 81, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence following a two month battle with cancer.

Bob was born in Chester County, SC September 2, 1936, a son of the late Joseph Roy Melton and Mamie Brinkley Melton. He was a retired electrician and a jack of all trades. Bob loved country music and was a guitarist in his younger years. He enjoyed going to the Thomasville Senior Center where he made many good friends. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Melton.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Phyllis Jones Melton; daughter, Lisa Stump and husband Mike; a step-son, Pete Jones and his wife Susan; three grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

At Bob's request, there will not be a memorial service. Thomasville Funeral Home is serving the family.
