L. H., known affectionately to his loved ones as “Pa,” was born January 22, 1931, to Arminta and Lester Orman Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in addition to his wife, Elaine; son, Lester; and his daughter-in-law, Cindy. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Snyder (Dennis); his son, Dean Orman (Rebecca Roseborough); grandchildren, Russ Snyder (Liz), Amber Pugh (Matthew), Jed Orman (Emily), and Ben Snyder (Jamie); and great-grandchildren: Ryan, Emma, Sam, Ella, Daniel, Stella Gray, Wynn, Brady, and Braxton.
L.H. worked for Thomasville Furniture Industries for 40 years. He was a dedicated, active member of the Lexington Church of Christ for 60 years where he served as an elder for many years. L.H. truly enjoyed riding horses and had them throughout his life. They brought him tremendous joy. He loved his family dearly, especially Elaine, his wife of 72 years. L. H. always put Christ first and was deeply admired by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation towards L. H.’s caregivers: Pamela, Edith, and Marsha, as well as Hospice of Davidson County.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 2nd at 3pm at Holly Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to Lexington Church of Christ or Hospice of Davidson County.
