Garland Wade Harris

Garland was born in Davidson County, August 24, 1949, a son of the late James L. Harris and Leona Kindley Harris. He retired for Thomasville Furniture, Plant C, after 38 years of service. Garland loved the simple life, raising a garden and watching it grow, staying at home and relaxing. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Texie Kennedy Harris; two brothers, Wayne Harris and wife Dee and Reece Harris and several nieces and nephews.

At Garland’s request, no services will be held. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Thomasville Medical Center, Forsyth Medical Center, and Hospice of Davidson County for their loving care of Garland.
