Eddie Dwayne Spears

A resident of this area all of his life, Eddie was born on March 4, 1965 in Thomasville to the late Cecil and Thelma Yates Spears. Eddie had a love for sports and especially enjoyed Thomasville Football and was an avid UNC Tarheel fan. He was a graduate of the Children’s Center in Thomasville and had worked at McDonalds for many years. Eddie also attended First United Methodist Church in Thomasville. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Dale Spears and a sister, Shannon Smith.

Surviving are his siblings, Harold Spears and his wife Mary of Lexington, David Spears of Thomasville, Trish Herring and her husband Bo of Thomasville, Gina Brock of Thomasville, and Brenda Spears of Thomasville. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Dianne Spears, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
