Dianna Joyce Hill

Joyce was born on May 14, 1935 in Davidson County to the late Ross and Alice Lambeth Manns. She was a 1953 graduate of David-Townsend School and a member of The True Church of God in Thomasville, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Surviving is her son, Robert Wayne Smith and wife Linda of Thomasville; a special niece, Dianne Albertson and husband Rev. Johnny Albertson of Thomasville; one brother, Lloyd Manns of Trinity, and a special first cousin, Louise H. Todd. These family members were always there for Joyce during her illness and never left her side. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of Thomasville.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5th, 2014 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Rev. Johnny Albertson and Rev. Clarence Stoneman officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarksbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 at the funeral home.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Joyce’s neighbors, Ruth, Fred, Wayne, and Martha for their care and kindness and also to her church family for their prayers and friendship.
