David Michael Searcy Sr.

He was born to the late Reno Michael and Leona Cecil Searcy. David proudly served with the United States Navy from 1957 through 1961 and had been a resident of Thomasville for the past three years. He was employed by Brink’s Armored Car Service, in New York and New Jersey for 25 years.

Surviving David are his best friend and loving wife, Rosalie Searcy; their children, Diane Blasi-Burchett and her husband Dwayne of High Point, David Searcy Jr., Teri Lee Bujalski of New Jersey, Jay Blasi, and Michael Blasi, of Florida . Also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters, Mona Lou Guist and husband John and Phyllis Monnin and husband Roger; and brother, James Reno Searcy and his wife Elaine. David is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 115 Unity Street, Thomasville with Pastor Jonathan Conrad officiating. The family will host a reception for family and friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church for a time to celebrate David’s life.
