Born to George & Ruth Penge of Chicago, Illinois on September 29th, 1948. Susan leaves behind her Daughter (Kimberly Benson) Son (Thomas McDonald) Sister and Brother-in-Law (Karen & Gary Martin) Grandchildren (Trent & Lauren Benson) and Niece & Nephew (Laura Duecker & Eric Carlson)
Married to Charles Pollard, who preceded her in death, Susan was a Realtor by trade; a profession she adored.
Nothing was more important to Susan than family. Susan’s family will always carry her with them. From holidays, birthdays, and weddings, Susan will remain in their hearts always.
The family will hold a private ceremony in the Spring to scatter her remains near Escanaba, Michigan, a place of many happy memories for Susan.
Susan lost her life due to compilations brought on by advanced Dementia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Susan’s memory.
For I am free:
Grieve not, for I am finally free.
Free to be with those I’d forgotten, but still carried with me.
Free to watch from above.
Free to remember.
How vibrant I was before the fall; how alive.
Now that I am gone, remember me as I was, not what I became.
Though you face was a mystery, your heart never was.
Such memories we had, thank you for always reminding me.
I remember liking to laugh.
I remember liking to sing.
I remember the joy you brought me.
And though I forgot so much in the end, I never forgot that I loved you.
So grieve not… For I am finally free.
