Marybeth grew up on Buffalo Speedway and graduated from Bellaire High School in Houston, TX. She married Terry Lynn Bradburn on January 29th, 1966, and attended several universities as an Air Force wife before obtaining her nursing degree from Central Texas College. She went on to obtain an advanced nursing degree as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and retired from Scott and White in Temple, TX, after 28 years of serving as a mental health professional.
Marybeth was blessed with the opportunity to live in Fort Worth, Tx; Sacramento, California; Sumter, South Carolina; Okinawa, Japan; Brampton, England; Harker Heights, Tx; and finally Spring, Tx; where she settled down near her daugher, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Marybeth was an avid gardener, a member of the Bell County Master Gardener Association, and loved traveling through the hill country to look at the bluebonnets every year. For nearly 30 years, Marybeth could be found at Kyle field using her season tickets cheering on the Texas Aggie football team. When Marybeth wasn't gardening or cheering on the Aggies, she would spend time reading mystery novels or playing bridge.
Marybeth also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and vacationing together often. Some of her favorite destinations included Holland, Italy, Scotland, Whales, Germany, Hawaii, and Alaska but you could often find her on a cruise ship sailing the Caribean. She also enjoyed sharing her life with late and current K9 companions Britt and Sugar.
Marybeth passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center on Nurse’s Day.
Marybeth was preceded in death by William C. Montour (Father) and Helen Bernice Montour (Mother).
Marybeth is survived by her husband Terry Bradburn, daughter Kim Wyers (husband Glenn Wyers), Granddaughter Taylor Wyers, Grandson Colby Wyers (wife Emily Wyers), great-granddaughter Gracelyn Wyers, and great-grandson Hudson Wyers.
