Kenneth L. Craig

Ken went home to be with the Lord on 11/19/2019. He undoubtedly enjoyed an incredible birthday in paradise the next day with his father, Carney Craig, his mother, Louise Craig Tucker, and his son, Kenneth Paul Craig. Born on 11/20/1947 in Richmond, CA, Ken was a dedicated and loving father to Machel Craig and Nick Craig as well as the oldest sibling to three sisters, Jeannine, Carolyn, and Pam along with their brother Stanley.

A very kind and intelligent man, Ken shared his abundance of love with all of those around him. It was his greatest joy to attend kids and grandkids sporting events. In his spare time, he also enjoyed working on cars, finding creative solutions to repairs around the house, and watching Sci-Fi movies. He was also quick to lend a helping hand to a family member, friend, neighbor, or complete stranger.

He headed to the University of Houston to get his business degree shortly after graduating from Morro Bay high school. It was at U of H where he met his wife and the mother of his children, Linda. They began a family with their first son, Paul, sadly passing just days before birth. Rising above their pain, they gathered their strength and raised two healthy children.

Following college, Ken entered the computer industry and led a host of innovations with Texas Instruments. His achievements included working on the first laptop in the 70’s and being part of some of the first touchscreen technologies in the 80’s. After leaving TI, he started his own computer business which he ran successfully for decades. The last few years of his life included working closely with his son to bring technology to seniors around the country.

He is survived by his daughter Machel Craig, son and daughter-in-law Nick and Jillian Craig, grandchildren Ian, Jaydon, Everett, Gwyny, and Lucas, sisters Jeannine, Carolyn, and Pam, brother and sister-in-law Stanley and Susan, and former wife Linda along with extended family and friends. In the words of so many that knew him well, his children and grandchildren were truly the light of his life.

Ken never met a dog he didn’t love. His family joked that he loved dogs more than people. All would agree that he absolutely loved the many dogs (and a couple cats) shared between he and his family – Tabby, Blackie, Cinnamon, Addison, Charlie, Princess, Jax and Sienna.

The family will hold a viewing on Friday December 6th from 4-6p at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, and a service on Saturday December 7th at 2p at Forest Park The Woodlands.
